1. What is a WIEP Group?
- A WIEP Group is five (5) or more photographers who have a common connection.
For example, five (5) or more photographers who belong to a specific camera club, or similar organization, may form a WIEP Group to send their prints to WIEP.
- Small ad-hoc groups (e.g. husband/wife/family members residing at the same address) are not WIEP Groups but may still send their prints packaged as a collection of individual entries.
2. Why Form a WIEP Group?
- You save $$ on mailing costs.
- It is more convenient for those international groups who must pay by cash (US$).
- You help WIEP volunteers to accurately process YOUR entries.
- If 80% or more of your group enter online you also gain recognition as a WIEP Preferred Group with a banner appearing in rotation on this and other pages. Thank you!
3. How to Form a WIEP Group
To become a recognized WIEP Group you must register in advance; just
send a message to the WIEP Chairman with your Group name, URL (if you have a Web site), and the name and email address of a group representative. Once accepted your Group name will appear in our list of recognized groups:
4. WIEP Group Packaging Procedure
4.1 Documentation
All entries submitted by a WIEP Group must still use our official entry forms.
For each photographer enclose a printed packing slip from our online entry system (preferred) or a completed
2011 paper entry form.
Failure to use the official entry documentation requires payment of a
or your entries
Photographers entering projected images as well as prints use the WIEP online entry form for their full entry (projected image AND print sections). We only accept one entry form per photographer.
However, any of your members entering online can still opt to ship prints and/or pay via your group by selecting that option on the payment page and choosing your group from the list. They then provide you with the printed packing slip from their entry checkout for you to enclose with your group's documentation.
4.2 Return vs Do Not Return
Prints to be returned must be packaged separately from prints that are not to be returned (designated DNR - Do Not Return). Your own packaging is used after the exhibition to mail returning prints, and to store DNR prints for destruction.
4.3 Labeling
Each print included in the package must be properly labeled on the BACK of the print/mount.
- If there are old labels still attached something indicating which label applies to WIEP 2011.
- The entrant's name, section entered (Large Mono, Large Color, Small Color or Small PJ), print number (1 to 4 aligned with the entrant's entry form), print title, and your WIEP Group name.
- Please remember that the rules require all prints to be titled in accordance with current PSA exhibition standards (section 5h in the 2010 standards). Untitled or ambiguously titled images will not be judged.
5. WIEP Group Payment
Payment for all entries submitted by your Group that have not already been paid online (as noted on the packing slip) be made in a form acceptable by the WIEP Exhibition before the closing date. Please remember to include the additional processing fees required for paper entry forms or non-regulation paperwork. Your entries will not be processed for judging until full payment is received.

- Check (cheque) for US$ that will clear through a US bank

- IRC's are NOT an acceptable form of payment
