About the WIEP
The Wilmington International Exhibition of Photography (the WIEP) is an annual
international salon event (photography exhibition) that has been presented by
The Delaware Photographic
Society for the last 78 years.
Like all such salon events photographers from around
the globe submit images for consideration by a panel of judges and the best are
"accepted" and become part of the exhibition. The best of the best also earn
medals and ribbons in recognition of their quality alongside their peers. Being
a PSA (Photographic Society of America)
recognized exhibition
means that acceptances in the WIEP also count towards performance awards with
PSA for those photographers that have aspirations in that direction.
